Fasting After Feasting!
Most of these diseases comes from the food we eat, our lifestyle, and environment. The good thing is we have the choice whether to just sit around and do nothing while these things come knocking at our doorsteps. Or, we can start making changes now so that our future and the future generation will have better chances of living the fullness of life healthy, joyful, peaceful, and enjoying life in its true sense.
The first adjustment should be lifestyle changes which includes what our eating habits and what we actually eat. The health advice you will mostly hear is to eat more vegetables, fruits, then meat, but less of the carbs and even lesser on added sugar. These are the basic well balanced diet as we all know it. But make sure that your portion is controlled. In essence, eat more for breakfast, but lessen your portion for lunch, and much lesser on dinner.
Another life changing adjustment to consider is seriously incorporating exercise into your regular regimen. I couldn't stress how much important this is. Just look around and you will see numerous workout videos, gym pops in every corner of the street, and even celebrities come up with their own exercises for people to achieve the body they have (we all know they had help from science, right? ssshhh!). It's not just the "IN" thing today, or some passing fancy but this is the result of people wanting the years of their lives lived well, healthy, active, and full of life.
The picture of being stuck in bed due to illness, taking various medicines for different types of illnesses, and not being able to do what you love to do actively is in itself sickening if you ask me. So these steps will greatly affect your life overall.
Lastly, fasting may not be very popular to society. But realizing how beneficial intermittent fasting to one's body will hopefully change their mind. Start fasting now after our liver have gone through a lot during the holidays. Your liver will thank you for it.
